Sindh High Court Bar Association reschedules annual elections

The Sindh High Court Bar Association has postponed its annual elections, which were scheduled to be held on December 7 instead of the previously scheduled November 23.

The decision came after Sindh High Court Chief Justice Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui refused to supervise the election process despite the Bar Association Secretary’s request for judicial review.

Following the Chief Justice’s rejection, the bar association also appointed a new Election Commissioner. Former President of the Bar Council, Zulfiqar Jalbani, has now been tasked with managing the election process.

The management of the Sindh High Court Bar Association emphasized that the change is aimed at ensuring a fair and orderly election, as members prepare for the revised voting date in December.
