Chargers hit with backhanded compliment from Colin Cowherd

Good news — Los Angeles Chargers rose to the top 10 in at least one expert’s power rankings.

Bad news: Jim Harbaugh and his friends are being dubbed a “smaller version of the Chiefs” in the process.

New power rankings are coming Colin CowherdWhich puts the Chargers at No. 6 but manages to pay a somewhat veiled compliment in the process.

“It’s a team that reminds me of a smaller version of the Chiefs,” Cowherd said. “Great coach, great quarterback, good enough offensive line, some knowledge of weapons, great defense. Are they as good as the Chiefs situationally? There is no one in the world. “But they’ve had more than five sacks in three straight games.”

For now, the Chargers will have to live with the little brother syndrome in the AFC West, where the Chiefs remain undefeated. The Chargers are 6-3 and have won four of their last five games, but they lost by a touchdown against the Chiefs in Week 4.

Let’s face it, Justin Herbert had an ankle injury this time around and the Chargers continued to look better. They have a serious chance to stay in the playoff hunt, move up the power rankings and get another shot against the Chiefs in Week 14.
