Capcom’s Monster Hunter series gets a brand new entry on mobile Monster Hunter Aliensdeveloper TiMi Studio Group and Capcom announced Tuesday. The upcoming game is described as an open-world survival game set in the Monster Hunter universe and will have a character collecting aspect. Genshin Impact and another recently announced AAA spinoff, Destiny: Rising.

Monster Hunter Aliens Its creators said it promises a “traditional hunting experience” with open-world exploration, diverse ecosystems, gear crafting, and co-op play for up to four players. “It’s time for mobile gamers to fully enjoy what has made Monster Hunter one of the most beloved franchises in gaming,” TiMi Studio Group producer Dong Huang said in a press release. “Monster Hunter Aliens “Not only does it offer players an authentic hunting experience, but it does so in a massive open world that includes the community and social systems players are looking for today.”

Capcom has released a handful of mobile games based on the 20-year-old Monster Hunter brand, but most were smaller mini-game-focused interpretations of series elements, and most were only released in Japan. The franchise’s next main entry is Monster Hunter WildsComing to PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X on February 28, 2025.
