PM Modi says in his poll speech in Maharashtra that Cong has a double doctorate on stopping projects | Latest News India

What happened? Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), calling the opposition coalition in Maharashtra the “biggest players of corruption” and asserting that the people should vote for Mahayukti candidates if they want to. See the rapid development in the state.

Prime Minister Modi said that if the Congress and its allies come to power in Maharashtra, the state’s development projects will come to a halt. “Congress has a double doctorate on stopping projects. If you want rapid development to continue, re-elect Mahayuti candidates,” Prime Minister Modi said at an election meeting at Chimur in eastern Vidarbha’s Chandrapur district.

PM Modi also accused the Congress of dividing the people and said that the mentality of the Congress’ ‘shahi parivar’ (royal family) was born to rule the country. “This is why after independence the Congress never allowed the progress of Dalits, backward classes and Adivasis,” Modi said.

“Breaking your unity is a dangerous game of the Congress. “If a tribal society is divided into castes, its identity and strength is lost,” Modi told the rally ahead of the vote on November 20. “If you do not remain united, the Congress will take away your reservation.”

The Bharatiya Janata Party leads the Mahayuti alliance with the Shiv Sena and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and hopes to retain power in a high-stakes contest. The MVA, comprising the Congress, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) and NCP (Sharadchandraji Pawar), aims to repeat its performance in the Lok Sabha elections, where it won 30 of the 48 seats in the state.

Prime Minister Modi termed the BJP’s “Sankalp Patra” poll manifesto as a commitment towards the development of Maharashtra. “Maharashtra’s rapid development is beyond Aghadi’s reach. “They have simply mastered the art of stunting growth,” he declared. “Agadi means the biggest player in corruption,” Modi said, positioning the coalition as “adept at crushing growth”.

Stating that Maharashtra has seen unprecedented development in the last two and a half years under the “Mahayuti” regime despite obstruction from Congress and Aghadi, he described Maharashtra as a preferred destination for foreign investment in the country.

PM Modi also moved the resolution in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly on the restoration of Article 370 of the Constitution, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir before it was abolished in 2019.

“We saw what was happening in Jammu and Kashmir just a few weeks ago. This region has been plagued by separatism and terrorism for decades. The law under which all this happened was Article 370. And this Article 370 was also the legacy of the Congress… When we abolished it, we fully integrated Kashmir into India and its Constitution,” he said.

Accusing the Congress and its allies of taking political advantage from violence and separatism, he asked, “Will you allow the Congress and its allies to bring back Article 370 to Kashmir?” he asked.
