A 78-year-old pedestrian was killed when he was struck by a pickup truck in Egg Harbor Township on Monday evening, authorities said.

Police say Sharon Parker was shot while trying to cross Tilton Road in the Goldenrod Lane area just before 6 p.m.

Parker, of Egg Harbor Township, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, a 55-year-old Hammonton man, has not been charged. Traffic was blocked for approximately 4 hours during police investigations.
