Ariana Grande continues to celebrate her role in ‘Wicked,’ which opened in Los Angeles over the weekend.

The singer/actor spoke at a panel held in Hollywood after the screening of the film.

He started by explaining how he prepared for the role.

“For me, vocally, it’s very different from what I normally sing, so I started training every day with my vocal coach and my acting coach for two and a half, three months before my first audition.

“I just wanted to be ready to use any medium I was asked to, to be able to drop in and do it and really be her,” Grande said of her role as Glinda.

Ariana says she gave the role her best.

“I gave it my all and put everything else on pause.”

Ariana also talked about how the movie saved her from going to a psychiatric hospital.

“But if it wasn’t for that, I think I would have ended up in a madhouse, that’s it,” he said.

The film’s director, Jon M. Chu, talked about how impressive Ariana’s work is.

Chu said he initially questioned whether Ariana could take on the role, but was later blown away by her versatile talent.

“Does he really know what it means to carry a movie? Does he know what it means to be in a character? He walked in and I couldn’t believe what I was watching. I said, ‘She doesn’t talk like Ariana Grande.’ “She doesn’t sing like Ariana Grande.”

‘Bad’ is released in theaters on November 22.
