Arcane creators admit season 5 rumors are “bullshit”

The creators of Arcane have finally debunked rumors about the animated series running for five seasons, stating that they are just “bullshit.”

“Nicolo thought it would be really funny to pull me into a room and say, ‘Hey, I know you haven’t given the green light yet and I’ve decided not to give you the green light.’ I sat there looking pretty upset, and he added: ‘Because I’m giving you five seasons off!’”

Yee doubled down on the idea that Vi and Jinx’s story would always be wrapped up in two seasons, explaining that “the story that ends in this season is the story that the rest of the team and I planned.”

The co-creator explained: “I think we imagined ways we could go beyond that, but one more season was always the milestone we wanted to reach.”

Linke later added: “Long story short, five seasons were nothing but bullshit from our perspective.”

Arcane Season 2 Episode 1 is now streaming on Netflix. Episode 2 will be released on November 16, and the third and final episode will be released on November 23.
