Stocks closed higher on Monday, with the Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite seeing record gains last week.

The Dow closed above the 44,000 level for the first time, while the S&P 500 closed just above the 6,000 level after temporarily trading above that threshold during Friday’s session. The U.S. bond market was closed on Monday for the Veterans Day holiday.

The Dow index closed at 44,293.13 points, up 304.14 points, up 0.7 percent.

The S&P 500 rose 5.81 points, or 0.1%, to 6,001.35.

The Nasdaq Composite index closed at 19,298.76 points, with an increase of 11.99 points or 0.1%.
