He said: ‘I was so scared to get back in the car it was a nightmare, the car was written off completely, I was left reeling with chest injuries.

‘So it was a pretty scary time and I eventually got behind the wheel but I had to have some therapy, I had constant physiotherapy and I couldn’t lie down properly.’

He continued: ‘I kind of had to lie down sitting upright but the scariest thing was getting back into the car.’

‘But eventually I got back in the car and I’m feeling a bit braver, but it was a really scary, scary time.’

‘You are unaware of the consequences of a car accident and how it affects you not only physically but also mentally. Because it really shakes and affects you.’

The ex-wife of former footballer Jason Cundy (54) previously owned a white Mercedes, but her eye-catching car was scrapped after the incident.
