The Liberty Square Riverboat, which is scheduled to close permanently in 2025, will embark on its final voyage this year. For decades, this riverboat has offered a scenic, slow-paced tour around Tom Sawyer Island, giving guests a chance to relax and take in the beautiful views. Fans of the old-school Magic Kingdom experience will definitely miss this attraction, but if you visit soon, be sure to take one last ride!

Tom Sawyer Island, another nostalgia of the Magic Kingdom, will also close its doors permanently. With its caves, bridges and hidden paths, it has long been a favorite of explorers and dreamers alike. The island’s quirky adventures and nooks and crannies will be missed, but Disney looks ready to introduce new attractions to keep the park fresh.

Starlight Night Parade – Debut in Summer 2025!

Although we said goodbye to some of our old favorites, Disney will be throwing a brand new parade! The Starlight Night Parade is expected to light up the Magic Kingdom in summer 2025 and promises to bring a dazzling mix of lights, floats and characters to Main Street, USA. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure – Open Now!

Good news for Splash Mountain fans: Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is officially open, bringing a whole new chapter of adventure to the classic ride. Inspired by Disney The Princess and the FrogThis attraction takes guests on a vibrant journey through New Orleans’ bayou, complete with new music, characters and stunning scenes.

With these new developments, Magic Kingdom will base some of its magic on nostalgia while opening new sections for Disney fans old and new.
