Colorado Springs Charter’s recreational pot ban now fails in final vote count

The El Paso County elections office’s latest ballot count shows voters in Colorado Springs rejected an effort to ban recreational marijuana in the city charter. Unofficial results consistently showed voter approval Question 2D until last weekend. Now the measure is rejected by fewer than 2,500 votes.

Initially both 2D and Question 300Intended to approve the sale of recreational marijuana within city limits. was seen passing. Question 300 is still poised to pass, with more than 22,000 votes separating yes from no.

The El Paso County Clerk’s office expects the next update on Thursday, Nov. 14, after the deadline for military and overseas ballots and the ballot curation deadline.
