Blake Shelton and Taylor Sheridan Reunite for Singing Competition Series ‘The Road’

Blake Shelton There’s a new TV show on the horizon – and this time Taylor Sheridan joining him for the journey.

The following statement was made on Monday, November 11: PathA new singing competition series has been ordered for fall 2025.

The CBS docuseries, from executive producers Blake Shelton, Taylor Sheridan, Lee Metzger and David Glasser, will follow “a starring superstar on his journey to discover the next great artist (to be announced),” according to a press release.

Path will offer “a behind-the-scenes pass into the gritty and unforgiving life of a traveling artist” with exclusive access to the behind-the-scenes workings of the music industry. According to a press release, the series will show “what happens when some of the best up-and-coming artists board a tour bus and overcome a demanding schedule in pursuit of their dreams.”

Open PathMusicians will join the tour’s headliner, perform opening acts at venues across the country, and compete to land a spot in the next city and gain local fan bases to continue touring.

“I’m a huge fan of Taylor’s incredible work and am excited to team up with her and long-time collaborator Lee. Path“I know a thing or two about singing competitions and what it’s like to follow a music dream and live life on tour,” said Shelton, 48. I look forward to discovering new talent and providing them with this platform.”

Sheridan, 54, added: “There’s a revolution taking place in country music. Creating a platform with Blake for the next leaders of this revolution is an incredibly exciting endeavor. No more shiny floors and studio audiences. This is literally where the rubber meets the road. Get in the van, drive to the next city and win over the crowd. If you do it enough, you will become the next leader. “It’s that simple.”

Glasser, 53, called the project “a true labor of love.”

“I can’t thank CBS enough for supporting us on our journey to bring an incredible project to audiences everywhere,” he said.

Shelton currently hosts celebrity game show barmagedon with Carson Daly, and has judged singing competitions including NBC Sound And Nashville Star.

Sheridan is the creator of many TV series, including: Saritas, 1883, Lioness, King of Tulsa and more.
