New Jersey driver died after his car left the road, crashed into a tree and crashed into parked cars.

Authorities are investigating a fatal single-car crash in Cumberland County early Friday.

Andrew Panichelli, 34, of Rosenhayn in Deerfield Township, was driving a passenger car northbound on Route 611/Centerton Road near Valley Boulevard in Upper Deerfield when he lost control of the vehicle, according to a New Jersey State Police spokesman.

The car crossed the median strip, left the road and hit a tree and two parked cars.

Police said Panichelli died from injuries sustained in the wreck.

Soldiers responded to the scene around 12:30. No further details were available Monday afternoon.
