Toronto Blue Jays Free Agent Target Juan Soto Joins Barry Bonds on Baseball Hist

Free agent outfielder Juan Soto is headed for a historic payday due to his historic productivity.

The 26-year-old outfielder enters free agency earlier than most players, increasing his earning power. A Soto contract is expected to reach between $600-700 million. The Toronto Blue Jays are reportedly feared to be a serious candidate for his services. They will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees and New York Mets.

In addition to entering free agency at a young age, Soto has been incredible on the field since entering the league. He helped the Nationals win the World Series in 2019 and help the Yankees get to that point in 2024. He’s already a batting champion and is poised to (most likely) finish in the top three of American League MVP voting this year.

If you search any list in history of what kickers have accomplished by the age of 26, you’ll probably find Soto. Get this from @CodifyBaseball:

Juan Soto walked at least 129 times in 4 consecutive seasons. Barry Bonds is the only other MLB player to do this.

It’s not just his strength but also his discipline that makes him great in this field. He’s not afraid to walk the walk and help lay the groundwork for those behind him.

Inside toronto, This is Vladimir Guerrero Jr., one of baseball’s best hitters. It will happen. Guerrero Jr. is also expected to be in the top 10 in MVP voting this year.
