Woman Says Man Ended Their Date in 2 Minutes Because He Didn’t Feel It

Over the last decade, with the emergence of popular dating apps and the ability to meet people online, dating has become a bit challenging for many people. There are countless reasons why individuals may feel this way, including security risks and authenticity, but of course not every dating experience ends in flames.

But a woman named Mags seemed to have the worst experience with online dating. In a TikTok video, she revealed that she went on the shortest date of her life and thought the experience was directly linked to her weight. Unfortunately, viewers were not so kind to her after she shared her experience.

A woman said a man ended their date after just 2 minutes because he was ‘not feeling it’.

Mags, who filmed herself before the appointment, explained that she made extra effort to look good, even doing her make-up, in the hope that it would be fun.

But in the next clip Mags sat in her car, clearly emotional, and admitted the date was something different.

“Honestly, it took less than 2 minutes. I walked over and she hugged me and said, ‘Are you hungry? Let’s go inside,'” Mags recalled. “We walked in. ‘Can you actually come out for a minute?’ “I went out again.”

He told Mags that he wasn’t trying to offend her, but that they should end the date right then and there because he wasn’t “feeling it.” Mags thankfully didn’t make too much of a fuss about it and walked back to her car and back into the house.

The woman suspected that her lover was ‘not feeling it’ due to his plus size body type.

Mags noted that this whole fiasco reminded her “why dating when you’re fat sucks.” Although this type of interaction is not uncommon, it is still painful to experience.

According to research published in 2020 magazine Plos Oneamong single young adults Thinner women are seen as more attractive are romantic partners and are more likely to marry than their peers with higher BMI.

Researchers have not theorized the origin of weight bias, but societal standards that equate thinness with beauty likely play an important role.

It’s unclear whether he decided to ditch the date with Mags because she’s plus size, or at least some other weird reason that prevented him from having dinner with her, but if Mags’ weight had any bearing on his decision, then it’s his loss . , not his.

If a person really cares about appearance, to the point of refusing to even follow through on an appointment, then you’ve definitely dodged a bullet.

Some viewers sided with the man and claimed that the woman should have told him she was plus size.

“I use a lot of full body photos on my profiles,” Mags said after receiving a comment from someone who asked if she knew her boyfriend’s weight.

I also tell them I’m a plus size girl. I understand that dating is difficult for everyone; It’s not just me being bigger that makes this difficult. Being fat and dating sucks.”

Especially in dating apps, physical appearance often overshadows personality. It doesn’t help that fatphobia seems ingrained in our society, and whether people know it or not, they are often prejudiced against anyone who doesn’t fit the parameters of the beauty standard.

But dating shouldn’t be based on someone’s weight and their situation. the value does not depend on the size of the body they are inside.

Mags explained that she doesn’t think of herself as ugly and has spent the last few years trying to be kinder to herself. She shared such a tender moment in the first place so that other young girls would know that they are not alone.

Referring to the kind messages she received after her video, Mags said, “I don’t need people to tell me I’m valuable.” “I know where my value comes from, but it doesn’t hurt to hear it either. I mean, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.”
