“To be young, the second one, a lot of people say: ‘He can’t compare. He needs to use another name.’ My father is my idol. I admired him when I was a child. When I saw that my father had great matches in Mexico, I said, ‘I want to be like my father.’ I trained with the best teachers for ten years. I decided to use this name in Mexico because I liked it very much. They say, “I want to be a model for kids. Now I have opportunities on my own and I travel the world and show wrestlers that I have talent. Because I have expectations in all my matches, it’s great for me to travel and show that I have this talent.” “To have the opportunity to beat world-class superstars like Kyle Fletcher, I want to have that opportunity in MLW because I want people to know about Atlantis Jr.’s work.”

Atlantis Jr. said he aspires to team up with his father inside the squared circle.

“It’s a big dream. It’s a big goal for me in wrestling. I’m the only holder of the cruiserweight title in the NWA. My father is my idol, my teacher, the person I always want to have in my corner. CMLL and New Japan match or any company gives me the opportunity to be with my father.” “It gives me the opportunity to become a tag team champion, that would be very exciting. Starting my career in CMLL and becoming a professional wrestler, you fulfill some of my dreams, but my biggest dream these days is to be a champion with my father.”

Later in the interview, Atlantis Jr. talked about how he wanted to help show his father that he could still be a major player in the wrestling world.

“If I’m in the ring and I’m watching my father, our eyes lock and we have a special connection. If my father wins, I’m happy. If I win, he’s happy, too. We want to show people that my father is still there.” He has many powers and goals. He wants to show people that he wants more. For me, a young wrestler, my dad wants more. If he needs me in the ring, I’m there too. “I continue to learn from my father every game I’m there with him.”
