East Midlands Airport (EMA) has advised passengers to allow extra time for their journeys next week due to road closures.

The A453 Ashby Road, Castle Donington, Leicestershire, will be closed from 20:00 GMT to 6:00 on weekdays from 11 to 19 November.

National Highways is carrying out the closure between Pegasus and Finger Farm for street lighting works and highway maintenance.

An EMA spokesman said this would impact customers arriving for early flights and create major disruption.
