“Currently, Eknath Shinde is the Chief Minister. After the elections, all three alliance partners will decide on the CM post,” the senior BJP leader said. he said.

“These parties gave priority to family members and the parties were divided. They are blaming the BJP for no reason. The BJP is against family-based politics,” Mr. Shah stated.

He rejected the Congress’ accusation of the BJP’s plan to weaken reservations. “It is the Modi government that has given reservations to OBCs. In fact, we are strengthening reservations,” he said.

Mr. Shah also said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s act of ridiculing the Constitution came to light after it was revealed that the book (carried by Gandhi) had blank pages.

“He (Gandhi) has now become the butt of jokes,” the BJP leader said.

The Union Home Minister said the Opposition MVA leadership targeted the Mahayuti government’s Ladki Bahin scheme for women but gave similar assurance with higher financial assistance.

“This shows their contradictions. Instead of judging our performance, Rahul Gandhi should check what is happening in America ruled by his party,” he said.

Mr. Shah also said that the Congress’s caste politics was aimed at dividing the country. He rejected MVA’s claims that Maharashtra was lagging behind in investments.

“During the MVA administration, Maharashtra was ranked 4th (in terms of FDI), while in the last two years tSate had the highest FDI,” Mr. Shah said.
