SEC Head Coach ‘I’m Tired of Seeing’ Vanderbilt Commodores Star Quarterback

This The Vanderbilt Football Star is already nervy with his next opponent.

The Commodores are having a great season. The team is 5-3 this year, three more wins than last season. A lot of credit goes to star quarterback Diego Pavia for leading the program so much as they look to pick up their sixth win of the season to qualify for the bowl for the first time since 2018.

Many in the sports world were surprised by their great start to the season; this included an upset win against the Netherlands. Alabama Crimson Tide, They were the top-ranked team in the country at the time and were briefly in the AP Top 25.

The team will travel to Jordan-Hare Stadium to face the Auburn Tigers, who are looking to salvage their season and qualify for the bowl game. Tigers secure decisive victory over Kentucky Wildcats They will try to win their second match in a row away and on Saturday.

Their next opponent is already tired of hearing about the Veteran Quarterback, as noted while previewing the upcoming game during today’s press conference.

Tigers head coach Hugh Freeze had a lot to say about Vanderbilt’s success this year and Pavia’s play.

“I’m sick of seeing that quarterback (laughter). I’m sick of him,” Coach Freeze said. “When we played (Diego) last year, the first time we touched the ball in the first quarter, I think it was 5:05 left. It’s disturbing. They know who they are and they’re good at being who they are. They move, they make plays, they’re savvy, they’re smart, they’re tough, and they still want everybody to do their job on every play.” It provides, or you’re screwed. There’s three yards here, even on a broken play, they get four yards, third-and-three and three-and-a-half.

Auburn saw Pavia at quarterback last season. State of New Mexico. The Albuquerque native led the Aggies to a 31-10 victory at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The program was successful in beating a Southeastern Conference team for the first time in 28 tries. During the win, Pavia passed for 201 yards and three touchdowns.

It’s safe to say the returning players on Auburn’s defense remember that.

The former Aggies quarterback also beat coach Freeze while he was the team’s head coach. Flames of Freedom Pavia cruised to a 49-14 victory over New Mexico State after trailing by 24 points entering the game.

It may have been ‘wrong language’, but there may be some truth behind Freeze’s comment that he was tired of playing against the signal caller who had his number for a few seasons.

This game may not have the same impact as the College Football Playoff, but it will be at stake Saturday night, and some of it could be personal.

Kickoff at Auburn is scheduled for 12:45 a.m. ET on Saturday and will be available on the SEC Network.
