GAITHERSBURG, MD. (WJLA) – A Maryland woman allegedly confessed to police that she killed her mother and left her body at the edge of a nearby field, according to police on Nov. 5.

According to the Montgomery County Police Department, 29-year-old Tiffany Zhang claimed that after killing 63-year-old Guichun Hu on Nov. 3, she placed his body in a grass area near her home.

Hu’s body was found in a grass field, but police are still working to determine the official cause and manner of death. No reason was given. Zhang was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder.
