Cincinnati Reds On Sunday, we will be hosting a one-day visit from Pete Rose at the Great American Ball Park. The event is open to the public.

The event “will be a time for those who admired and loved the ‘Hit King’ to come together, honor his incredible legacy, and say goodbye before Pete Rose’s family buries him privately,” the Reds said in a statement.

If you’re planning to attend the Cincinnati native’s visit, here’s everything you need to know:

What time is Pete Rose’s visit?

Visitation is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. The length of the visit, 14 hours, is in honor of Rose’s number.

Where should I go for a Pete Rose visit?

Guests will enter through the main doors at Crosley Terrace (Gate A) and will be directed to the queue lines. Lines will lead to the visiting area in the main hall overlooking the pitch. Guests will exit through Gate B.

Can I take photos during Pete Rose’s visit?

No. The Reds said that “out of respect for the family” photography and video recording would not be allowed inside the visiting area.

Can I bring mementos in memory of Pete Rose?

Yes. Guests are asked to leave flowers, souvenirs, or other mementos in Rose’s memory at the Pete Rose statue on Crosley Terrace.

Reds Hall of Fame will be free on Sunday

Free admission to the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum is available on Sunday between regular business hours of 10:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Rose passed away on Monday, September 30, at the age of 83. The former player and manager is MLB’s all-time home run leader with 4,256 home runs. He also had the most games played, the most hits, the most singles and the most bases in baseball history.
