PHILADELPHIA – The Eagles will win their fifth straight in Dallas, where they haven’t won since 2017. Running back Saquon Barkley also went winless in five tries with the Giants.

The Eagles won at Cincinnati earlier this season, which they have never won in franchise history, so both winning streaks in Dallas could come to an end.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Josh Sweat. He now has five sacks on the defensive end and looks like the player he was until last year’s season-ending eight-game slump. He has five sacks in his last five games, including two in last week’s win over the Jaguars.

Jalen Carter. There will be some action on defense against Zack Martin, who is arguably one of the best guards in the game. Carter didn’t fill out the stat sheet against the Jaguars despite having four tackles, but Vic Fangio liked what he saw from the second-year player.

“I don’t know if I’d call it his best game overall, but if it’s not his best, then it’s up there,” the defensive coordinator said.

Zack Baun. The defender, whose contract needs to be extended immediately, has forced turnovers in two consecutive games and has turned into a tackling machine. The Cowboys’ rushing attack is one of the worst in the league, so more interceptions are needed. Maybe there could be another turnover.

Jalen hurts. Does his ankle bother him or not? Nick Sirianni stated that the point guard missed Wednesday’s practice due to an ankle issue, not due to rest, and then gave up when pressed. Either way, the quarterback will be playing against a Cowboys defense that could feature Micah Parsons and Tevon Diggs. Or not, because both are listed as questionable for injury.

Saquon Barkley. What more can you say about what it means to be a running back this season? Against a Cowboys defense that is one of the worst in the league at stopping the run, Barkley must rush for over 100 yards for the sixth time in nine games this season.

-Which Eagles rookie linebacker – Quinyon Mitchell or Cooper DeJean – has his first career interception and will it be in this game?

-Will the Cowboys make one last stand to keep their season alive?

-Can the Eagles stop Cooper Rush three times like they did in the last game two years ago when he went 5-0 in place of Dak Prescott and lost 26-17?

After dealing with these for most of the season, I came close to matching the final score last week and beat the Jaguars 29-23, but the game ended 28-23. Closed. This game in Dallas shouldn’t happen.
