MIDLOTHIAN, Ill. – Two teenagers were taken to hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed during a fight in the southwest suburbs late Friday. midlothiansaid the policeman.

The incident occurred around 10:40 p.m. in the 14500 block of Knox Boulevard.

Midlothian police were initially called for reports of shots fired and possible stabbing victims.

Authorities said that when officers arrived at the scene, they learned that a fight had broken out between multiple people and that two teenagers had been stabbed.

It was learned that the conditions of the two children who were taken to hospitals in the region were serious to critical.

A suspect was arrested and is being held at the police station pending further investigation. Fees were not disclosed.
