Guess

Baylor 78, Arkansas 72

money line

TO GO PAST.

The only option to play on the moneyline is Arkansas, but considering it’s unproven, has a roster that hasn’t yet competed at a high level this season, and features a lot of new pieces, avoid that option.

against the spread

BET BAYLOR -3.5 (-115).

The Bears have a transfer star in Roach, who is the No. 5 player overall in the 2024 recruiting class and have plenty of returning players to rely on. They were disappointed with their first win against one of the best teams in the country, but the talent is still there, many of whom have played each other before. Baylor shot 14% from deep and that was expected to improve as four players made more than one 3-pointer and couldn’t see any of them pass.

The Razorbacks struggled from deep against a weaker opponent, forcing 12 turnovers and only 6 offensive rebounds. Although they won by 16 points, Calipari’s new squad did not have a very impressive performance. The Cats underperformed last season when the lights were brightest under Calipari.

Expect a comeback game from the Bears and BAYLOR -3.5 (-115).

Top/Bottom

BET UNDER 155.5 (-110).

Neither team showed they could shoot the ball effectively in their season openers, and both teams committed plenty of turnovers. The Razorbacks are 0-1 O/U and the Bears are just 1-0 O/U because their defense gave up 101 points.

Gonzaga shot 57% from the field and 42% from distance, and the Razorbacks likely won’t reach those numbers. Given both sides’ inefficiency to open the season, we expect a lower-scoring game and comeback. UNDER 155.5 (-110).
