RIVERVIEW ESTATES, Mo. (KCTV) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol Responded to a crash that occurred Friday night in the Riverview Estates area of ​​Cass County.

The crash happened just before 10 p.m. on Route Y south of Belton and northwest of Peculiar.

MSHP said a 40-year-old man from Peculiar was riding a 2023 Suzuki motorcycle north on Route Y when he went off the side of the road and struck rocks and guardrails.

The driver was thrown from the motorcycle and was seriously injured. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was taken to a hospital in Kansas City for treatment.
