Basic Options profile picture

My investing style would be called “Fundamental Options” because I combine fundamental analysis with the power of options. I use Fundamental Analysis to quantitatively and qualitatively evaluate individual stocks and ETFs and follow a variety of strategies: Income focused, particularly BDCs but also Utilities; With a background in Software Development, especially Affordable Growth in Technology; Deep Value based on Discounted Cash Flow and/or other industry-specific valuation methods; Dividend Aristocrats. While I generally invest in long-term stocks, I also have 20-25 strategies that include options that I use for various purposes: Hedging stocks; bullish stock/ETF substitutes with improved risk/reward; impartial transactions; trading volatility; profitable business. Teaching is another passion of mine; In recent years I have been working as an unofficial teacher or coach in different areas of life, including writing a free local investment newsletter.
