A 14-year-old boy admitted to sexually assaulting a 91-year-old victim Florida House.

Jesse Stone pleaded guilty in the case. WKMG. He initially pleaded not guilty.

Stone is scheduled to be sentenced as an adult next month. The maximum sentence he will face is unclear.

The victim woke up on June 9 to find Stone at his home in Reddick, Florida, according to the report. He was then beaten and sexually assaulted.

The victim was taken to the hospital and told police Stone lunged at him and punched him in the face, according to the report. He then fled the scene.

The same day as the attack, Stone approached Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies and told them he found “something” on a neighbor’s security videos. When deputies watched the video, the suspect appeared to resemble Stone.

A week later, Stone was arrested on sexual battery charges and theft.

“This type of unimaginable violence is still shocking to me, even after all my years in law enforcement. The Reddick community has shown their resilience and support to us and their community through it all,” Sheriff Billy Woods said following the arrest.

It was shocking that any individual would commit such an act against a 91-year-old, but it is truly disturbing to see the young age of the detainee. While I firmly believe that he should be held accountable for his crime, as a father, I extend my sympathy to his family. “I hope his arrest will lead to the provision of assistance that will prevent the continuation of such actions.”
