Throwback: When Chappell Roan Asked Olivia Rodrigo for Advice on THIS; Here’s What He Had to Say

Chappell Roan has now become a big name in popular culture. Even though she’s been a part of it for over a decade, Good Luck, Baby! The artist became the center of attention in the summer of 2021.

This was when her single Pink Ponky Club went viral within a year of its debut. As Chappell Roan rose to stardom, she sought advice from one of her close friends, Olivia Rodrigo.

For those who don’t know, 2021 was also the year Rodrigo entered superstardom by obtaining a single driver’s license.

According to a July 2023 article, SuperGraph asked Ultra Modern Girl artist Olivia Rodrigo: “Did you talk to Billie (Eilish) when you grew up? What did you do?”

The singer of “Can’t Catch Me Now” stated that he did not have an answer to this and said, “I’m sorry. Nobody has the answer.”

In the same article from 2023, Roan reportedly had great respect for how Rodrigo enabled his own rise to stardom.

The Rise and Fall of a Midwestern Princess artist noted that Olivia Rodrigo is great at being a “normal person” even when everything around her is “abnormal.”

Roan also stated that she doesn’t feel like a “normal person right now,” adding that she’s not even close to where the Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl artist stands.

Roan, born Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, signed a contract with Atlantic Records, her first major record label, in 2017. However, in 2020, the company dropped him.

This was during the pandemic when the Love Me Anything singer began releasing her music as an independent artist.

Following this, in 2023, Chappell Roan He went on to sign with another big name, Amusement Records/Island Records.

For those who don’t know, the studio in question was founded by Grammy-winning producer Dan Nigro.

Dan Nigro is also a collaborator with whom the My Kink Is Karma singer has been releasing music for many years.

Meanwhile, the collaborator is also known for sharing his talents with artists like Caroline Polachek and the 1 Step Forward, 3 Steps Back artist.
