Goshen fire chief honored for 43 years of service; New president sworn in

GOSHEN, Ind. (WNDU) – Goshen Fire Chief Dan Sink was honored Friday evening.

He is retiring after more than forty years of service.

A formal change of command ceremony was held at the Goshen Theatre. The ceremony honored Chief Sink’s 43 years with the department and 19 years as chief.

New Chief Anthony Powell was sworn in by Goshen Mayor Gina Leichty.

Powell joined the Goshen Fire Department in 2004 and served in a number of different roles before being named assistant fire chief in 2021.
