WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) – A pedestrian was seriously injured in a crash in West Hartford.

Police said the pedestrian was struck by a car near Oakwood Boulevard and Saint James Street around 5:06 p.m.

The injured person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

They have not been identified, but police say they are adults.

Oakwood Boulevard is closed between Seymour Boulevard and Kane Street.

The closure is expected to last several hours as police continue their investigation.
