BOSTON (AP) — Jayson Tatum had 33 points and nine rebounds, Payton Pritchard scored six points in overtime and the Boston Celtics defeated the Brooklyn Nets 108-104 on Friday night.

Pritchard finished the match with 20 points. Jrue Holiday scored 17 points and 5 assists, and Derrick White had 14 points and 6 assists for the Celtics (8-2).

Cam Thomas reached 30 points for the fourth time this season and finished ahead of the Nets (4-5) with 31 points. Dennis Schroder added 20 points.

Cameron Johnson was fouled by Tatum after missing a wide-open 3-point attempt in the closing seconds of the draw but made his own miss. He calmly made two free throws and tied the game at 94 with 7.6 seconds left.

Tatum hit a go-ahead 3 as time expired to send it into overtime.

Boston guard Jaylen Brown missed his fourth consecutive game with a strained left hip flexor, while center Luke Kornet was out with a strained right hamstring.
