Texas authorities are searching for a missing woman who was last seen at her home on Sunday.

Melonie Ballenger, 46, was last seen at her home in Wylie around 10 p.m. Authorities said Ballenger did not take a vehicle or phone with him when he left.

The Texas Department of Public Safety has issued a Coordinated Law Enforcement Adult Rescue “CLEAR” Alert for Ballenger.

Her husband Daniel Ballenger told CBS News Texas He said he slept with Melonie on Sunday, but when he woke up Monday, Melonie wasn’t there.

“He left with nothing,” Daniel Ballenger said.

He said he left behind the medications he needed to take for his health. Melonie Ballenger is scheduled to have heart surgery in a few weeks.

Daniel and Melonie Ballenger have two young children.

“I love him. I hope he is safe and his daughters miss him and we want him back. Please come home,” Daniel Ballenger said. WFAA.

Authorities said they searched the area with the help of K9 search dogs and a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter, but were unable to find Melonie Ballenger. While detectives are chasing the suspects, searches continue in the area.

The Wylie Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance as the search continues. Residents in the area are asked to review outdoor camera footage between 12:00 and 06:00 on Monday.

Melonie Ballenger is described as being 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 135 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. The clothes he wore when leaving the house are unknown.

Coordinated Law Enforcement Adult Rescue, or CLEAR Alert, is an alert system in the state of Texas.

It was created to assist law enforcement in identifying missing, abducted, or abducted adults or adults who are in immediate danger of injury or death.

Several criteria must be met for a CLEAR Alert to be issued.

The adult must be between the ages of 18 and 64, his or her whereabouts are unknown, a preliminary investigation must confirm that the adult is in imminent danger of bodily injury or death, or has disappeared involuntarily, the request must be made within 72 hours of the disappearance. and sufficient information must be available to help locate the person, suspect, or vehicle involved.
