Police in Lancaster County are searching for a missing 72-year-old man who they say has dementia and very poor eyesight.

William Aponte left his home in Lancaster on Wednesday and has not been seen since, according to Columbia County police.

Police said Aponte had white hair, often wore a hat and may have had a spiral wooden cane.

Police said he was not driving and was believed to be in the Lancaster or Columbia area.

No other details were given.
