FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — The Fresno Fire Department says if you saw smoke this morning, it was likely from a fire burning in a shed.

FFD says just before 9 a.m. firefighters were called to a home in the 300 block of North Pacific Avenue near Belmont.

Initial information stated that a house burned.

When FFD arrived, they saw that the fire was coming from a shed-type building behind the house.

FFD said those who were home at the time got out safely.

The crews kept the fire in the back building and prevented damage to the main part of the house.

The cause of the fire could not be determined.
