Georgia residents report disturbing racist messages before and after election

Multiple Georgia residents contacted FOX 5 Atlanta after receiving an alarming text message or being informed of a potential threat from white supremacists and KKK members.

“Greetings, David. You have been selected to pick cotton at the nearest plantation in Atlanta. Be ready with your belongings at 12 a.m.,” said David Williams.

David Williams was one of many people who received an alarming text message after the election.

“Master Ben asked us to send this text message. ‘Please be ready, we won’t be whipped’. I responded and said, ‘You’d better tell Ben that I’m not my ancestors. I’ll whip him back.'” in question.

Williams isn’t playing games with messages.

“I was a little bit stunned, stunned,” Williams said.

Williams said he called the number but had no luck.

Multiple law enforcement agencies, including Atlanta police, say they are aware of the messages circulating.

“I was scared and didn’t know what was going to happen. It was weird because it came out of nowhere,” said a young girl.

This 14-year-old boy, who wished to remain anonymous, also received a worrying message.

She immediately sent it to her mother, who alerted the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office and the county school district.

“This was shocking to me because even though it’s 2024, I still hear things like this. It was very sad to see someone send something like this to a child,” the teenager’s mother said.

Many want to know exactly who is responsible.

“There must be someone or a group of people sending these messages. I would like to see whoever did this or the organization that did this be prosecuted, brought to justice. Whatever,” Williams said.

The warning about white supremacists and KKK members reportedly began circulating the day before the presidential election.

The message is as follows:
