Police were called around 19.15. Wednesday night until a blue Yamaha motorcycle collided with a white Mercedes car on the eastbound carriageway between Ventura and Marlborough Way. Both vehicles were damaged in the accident.

Debris from the collision hit a white Vauxhall Adam traveling in the opposite direction, causing the female driver, aged in her 50s, to stop.

A white Scania HGV then crashed into a stationary Vauxhall vehicle and the motorcyclist, who was a pedestrian at the time.

Unfortunately, the motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was seriously injured and died at the scene.

His family is supported by specially trained police officers.

The woman driving the Vauxhall was seriously injured and taken to hospital.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene and assisted police with the investigation.
