The Memphis Grizzlies and the Los Angeles Lakers are two teams that have no love for each other. That they don’t like each other is obvious to fans whenever these teams meet. This rivalry has been growing since the Grizzlies’ resurgence and LeBron James’ arrival to the Lakers. The Grizzlies faced the Lakers tonight and took home the victory with the final score of 131-114, but still remained cheerful.

Tonight’s match was no different from previous matches. Morant felt like he was being fouled for most of the game and let his frustrations be heard. Morant’s frustrations came to a boiling point late in the 2nd quarter. After Morant pulled an and-1 on Gabe Vincent, he immediately mocked the Laker for a “too small” move. Immediately following this play, LeBron was defended by Morant, and when Morant fell to the ground, LeBron made the same taunt in response to Morant.

LeBron’s taunt began going viral on the X after the photo was posted on the Lakers’ social media. Morant managed to have the final say despite being sidelined for the remainder of the second half after injuring his hamstring during a botched alley-oop attempt.

Morant responded to the Lakers photo on social media with his own post, which went viral on X with more than 570,000 views.

The discontent these two teams have towards each other continues to grow and it doesn’t look like it’s going to end anytime soon as both teams feel disrespected by the other team. The Grizzlies and Lakers will meet again this month on November 13.
