Wednesday, November 6 2024 – Members of Parliament have launched an investigation into the death of Wells Fargo human resources executive Willis Ayieko, who was brutally murdered under unclear circumstances.

The investigation will be conducted by the Committee of the Ministry of Administration and Internal Security.

Ayieko’s body was found on October 23 in Mungowere stream in Yala, Siaya County.

Asking for a statement from the committee, Alego Usonga MP Samuel Atandi stated that Ayieko is the director of human resources and that his job is to oversee investigations of high-profile cases that result in the loss of huge amounts of money and to take administrative action against staff found guilty.

“It is alleged that the roles he played in his work may have contributed significantly to the circumstances leading to his death, investigations of which have not yet been completed,” he said.

He said justice must be served quickly and transparently as family and friends are under great burden due to the unresolved circumstances surrounding Ayieko’s death.

Atandi wants the committee to submit a report on the circumstances that led to Ayieko’s murder.
