NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Metro Nashville Police Department says they have arrested the last two gang-related men wanted for the mass shooting on Jefferson Street.

Police arrested Corey D. Johnson, 31, and Kiyahn Hayes-Woods, 23, in the 300 block of Berry Street Wednesday afternoon.

Police said Hayes-Woods was carrying a semi-automatic handgun at the time of the arrests.

Both men were charged with a shooting on Oct. 12.

Johnson was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon. He was booked on $80,000 bail.

Hayes-Woods was charged with reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. He was booked on a $94,000 bond.

According to police, five men with local gang affiliations began shooting at each other “indiscriminately” at the intersection of 27th Avenue North and Jefferson Street shortly after 5 p.m. on Oct. 12.

One of the five, 24-year-old Vonquae Johnson, was fatally shot at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Corey Johnson and Hayes-Woods were with Johnson during the shooting.

Rivals Marquez Davis and DeAnthony Brown, both 24, were also arrested in connection with the shooting. Davis and Brown were arrested Oct. 14 and charged with criminal homicide in Vonquae’s death, police said.

Police said Davis was charged with possession of a weapon by a federally convicted felon.
