LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas Metro Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred near the Desert Inn and Fort Apache.

LVMPD reports an elderly man was struck by a car while crossing the Desert Inn outside the marked crosswalk area.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital and later died.

Police said the driver showed no signs of impairment.

The Desert Inn is reportedly closed while the investigation continues.
