MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile Police Department officers arrested a man Tuesday for allegedly forcing a woman to stay in the house and refusing to let her leave.

According to a news release from MPD, officers were called to the 400 block of Mohawk Street around 11:50 p.m. for a report of a domestic disturbance.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man “forcibly taking the victim’s belongings,” police said.

They also determined that the man did not allow the victim to leave the house before they arrived, according to the statement.

He was arrested and charged with interfering with a 911 call, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, resisting arrest and obstructing government operations.
