EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A Fort Bliss soldier has been charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter in connection with a fatal car crash in East El Paso Saturday night, according to Ft. Bliss Public Relations spokesperson.

Juan Del Valle, a soldier assigned to the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, was arrested for his involvement in a multi-vehicle crash that resulted in two deaths on November 2. Sergeant. The public relations official said.

“Fort Bliss leadership is deeply saddened by this tragedy and its impact on the El Paso community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those involved,” said Maj. Gen. Del Valle was taken into custody in the El Paso County jail, facing two counts of intoxication manslaughter and bail totaling $520,000.
