Voters in Louisiana will cast ballots in the state’s six congressional districts. Louisiana holds open elections without partisan primaries. If a candidate receives 50 percent of the votes, they are declared the winner. Otherwise, the top two candidates will go to the second round. Five candidates will be on the ballot in the 1st Congressional District: Incumbent Republican Steve Scalise; Republican Randall Arrington; Republican Ross Shales; Democrat Mel Manuel; and Frankie Hyers, who is not affiliated with any party. Otherwise, the top two candidates will go to the second round. There will be five candidates on the ballot in the 2nd Congressional District: Incumbent Democrat Troy Carter; Democrat Devin Davis; Republican Christy Lynch; Republican Shondrell Perrilloux; and Republican Devin Graham. Otherwise, the top two candidates will go to the second round. There will be four candidates on the ballot in the 3rd Congressional District: Republican incumbent Clay Higgins; Republican Xan John; Democrat Priscilla Gonzalez; and Democrat Sadi Summerlin. The race in Louisiana’s 4th Congressional District will be between Republican incumbent Mike Johnson and Republican Joshua Morott. Louisiana holds open elections without partisan primaries. If a candidate receives 50 percent of the votes, they are declared the winner. Otherwise, the top two candidates will go to the second round. Three candidates will be on the ballot in the 5th Congressional District: Republican incumbent Julia Letlow; Republican Vinny Mendoza; and Democrat Michael Vallien. There will be four candidates on the ballot in the 6th Congressional District: Republican Elbert Guillory, Democrat Quentin Anderson, Democrat Wilken Jones and Democrat Peter Williams. Republican Garrett Graves is not seeking re-election to the seat after reorganization led to the district turning more heavily Democratic.
