Police have launched a search for a 39-year-old man who was last seen in the Hobart CBD a week ago.

Ahmed Hamada was last seen in the city center at noon on Monday, October 29.

His vehicle was found unattended in the Fortesque Bay area six days later on Monday, November 4.

Officers and SES volunteers are currently searching for Hamada in the Fortesque Bay area.

“Anyone who has seen Ahmet since October 29 or has information about his whereabouts is asked to call police on 131 444 or Triple Zero (000) in an emergency,” police said.

“Citation reference ESCAD 204-30102024.”
