WASHINGTON (7News) — As the 2024 election continues, a person reportedly placed a screw on a road near a ballot box in Northeast D.C., according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

D.C. police said around 2 p.m., they were notified that a person had placed a screw next to a ballot box in the roadway in the 1300 block of 5th Avenue.

Authorities said they are investigating the incident and will continue to closely monitor polling places and polling places until the evening.
