HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – One person was injured in a crash that occurred in the Carolina Forest area on Tuesday afternoon.

Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the crash on Highway 31 near International Drive around 12:54 p.m.

According to HCFR, a car crashed into a guardrail and ended up in a ditch with some trees. The teams removed the injured person from the vehicle.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.

The northbound lanes of Highway 31 are currently closed.
