SONOMA, California – A famous chef is closing his restaurant in Sonoma.

Casey Thompson, who competed on three seasons of Top Chef, shared on social media that the last day of Folk Table will be Sunday.

The restaurant was recognized by Michelin and Folktable was given the Bib Gourmand designation, an honor given to those who offer high-quality food at reasonable prices.

The restaurant was one of the few remaining businesses in Cornerstone Sonoma, a struggling open-air market.

Not far away, Molti Amici in Healdsburg won the same award. also announced that it was closed.
