Where can you vote in Central Texas on Election Day?

WACO, Texas (KWTX) – McLennan County election officials want to remind voters about the countywide polling place program that allows residents to vote at any polling place in the county on Election Day. The program will help voters avoid long lines and wait times at the polls.

(Information about the voting places of the districts is at the bottom of the article.)

“Don’t be discouraged if you go somewhere and there’s a long line, because there’s probably another vote center near you,” said McLennan County Elections Administrator Jared Goldsmith.

McLennan County is one of five counties in the Central Texas region using this program; This program allows voters to go to the polling location that is easiest for them or choose another location nearby if wait times are long.

McLennan County has 46 polling places for the November 5, 2024 Election; This is more than the last presidential race in 2020.

First Assembly of God Church in Waco is one of the county’s busiest locations nearly every day of the early voting period. Holy Spirit Episcopal Church has a polling place about a mile away, Goldsmith said.

It encourages voters to check out map or a list of locations before going to the polls.

Bell, Coryell and Lampasas counties also use the countywide polling place program; This means voters can go anywhere in the county to vote.
