A man and two teenage boys have been convicted over a string of 35 separate phone thefts in south-east London last year.

The trio used electric motorbikes to target people in Bermondsey and Greenwich, stealing phones worth £20,000, according to the Met Police.

Kie Joyce, 21, of Bermondsey, was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison for burglary and driving offenses at Inner London Crown Court on September 19.

Two 16-year-old boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were also involved in the theft. A juvenile was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment at the Old Bailey on 1 November. The other was sentenced to nine months’ supervision at South London Magistrates’ Court on February 26.
