Wolves 2-2 Crystal Palace: Fan opinions

We asked for your thoughts after the Premier League match between Wolves and Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Here are some of your comments:

Wolves fans:

Gabriel: Gary O’Neil was clearly trying not to lose. When we stood back and started acting like we wanted to win, we got ahead. We then went back to trying not to lose it and, unsurprisingly, accepted it once again. I love Gary but unfortunately I think his time is up. Contrary to what he said, this match was a must-win match.

: Surprisingly pure in defending from corners, Sa shows why he lost his place. There is real class and talent in the side but also some truly poor play. It seems like Ait-Nouri lacks the ability to learn and consistently keeps the ball for too long. When Sarabia receives the ball, he wants a minute or two and cannot use his right foot.

Nick: People say we played well. Some say we are unlucky. Others say it’s just a bad run of fixtures. But whatever the excuse, the truth is the same; we are at the bottom. Since we are at the bottom, it doesn’t matter what outsiders think. Since we are at the bottom, it doesn’t matter what the experts think. Can you name a manager who has lost more but still has a job?

-Steve: Defensive performance is very low. What else is there to say? Where is the heart and pride?

Crystal Palace fans:

: We missed many opportunities and should have finished the game easily, but our strikers missed many opportunities and it was left to two defenders to score the goals for a valuable point. Our strikers need to be more careful if we want to survive in the Premier League.

Glenn: Overall, it was a very enjoyable watch. We worked hard in the first half and proved that we can play. The point was not to take our chances. Sarr played well but missed a few players. The team is starting to take shape and they are confident now. It’s good to see young people on the bench, but when will we start bleeding them?

To peel: A large number of recent signings have failed to make an impact and therefore do not fill the gaps left by the players we sold. Even at the top, the team lacks cohesion, with too many people drifting around in ticked-off positions without the commitment to find their place or get stuck in to make it happen.

: Palace completely dominated the game but the number of goal opportunities missed was staggering. Sarr single-handedly missed four sitters. We still haven’t resolved the Nketiah issue and the manager needs to address this quickly. It was pleasing that Palace came back after losing 2-1. There are very good performances and one point is better than nothing.
